Yogis cooperate to keep clean their lodging, it's surroundings, dhamma hall and dining hall – which entails little bit of sweeping in the morning :) Yogis wash their laundry in their lodging by hand-washing (cold water only).
The center provides a buffet style breakfast and lunch (at 6:15 and 11:15 respectively), with both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian choice.
Yogis are expected to be virtuous, that means they have to practice at least five precepts during the meditation period.
Yogis are asked to dress neatly in white clothes (only) in the center. Please kindly refrain from wearing sleeveless shirts, tank tops, shorts or short skirts. For buying supplies (detergent, toilet paper, cloth pins, cosmetics, extra food …) one can use either the nearest Mukalana junction (about half a kilometer on foot) or nearby Delgoda town (cca 4km) which has also an ATM. One should ideally finish this off before the start of his/her retreat. IMPORTANT - > before leaving the center ALWAYS check with teacher as well as the most current covid-19 local regulations – if you do not do so you risk of being banned for misconduct.
Have a safe and pleasant journey. May Dhamma protect your every step.
